SXSW is one of the most significant interactive events of the year, and since 2011, the Austin event has hosted a warm-up focused on the education market, SXSWedu. It just so happens this year that I will be traveling to the event to present in my book, Learning Everywhere.
I’m pleased to be part of this tremendous happening. Bill Gates is set to keynote the conference. This will be the first time I will have had the opportunity to see him present, and I’m looking forward to it given all the great moves he and the Gates Foundation have been making in learning in the last couple of years.
In addition to the Bill Gates talk, there will be some other keynote presentations and a Launch Edu startup award event where some finalists will be competing for recognition and prizes in competition across some education-related disciplines.
On March 6, at 1:30 in Austin Convention Center Room 13AB, I will be presenting a session centered around the book, Learning Everywhere. I’ll provide an overview of the content in the book, and I’ll also take questions from the audience. In addition to that, I will read an excerpt from the title and sign books afterward.
Are you headed to SXSWedu? If so, let me know in the comments or reach me on Twitter. In the meantime, download the SXSWedu app and check out the details of the event.
