MobiLearnAsia: Asia’s Growing Mobile Learning Conference

Singapore Event Looks Better Than Last Year

Conferences Comments (0)

Last October, I gave the opening keynote address to the first MobiLearnAsia conference in Singapore. This year, I am presenting virtually on “Big Data As an Emerging Trend in Mobile Learning.”

This year’s conference, on Oct. 2-3, is produced by Crimson Knowledge and looks bigger and better than last year’s event. There are keynote addresses by these well-known figures in the mobile learning industry:

  • Prof. John Traxler
  • Prof. Daphne Koller
  • Geoff Stead
  • Tamar Elkeles
  • Prof. Gráinne Conole
  • Katrina Reynen

The more than 50 sessions in the two days of the conference range from “Jailbreaking Education with Mobile Learning” to “Promoting Literacy amongst Women in Pakistan.”

While this conference has an emphasis on using mobile in the education system, there are sessions and keynotes that are also about corporate learning. It is one of the few conferences in the world that tries to cover both markets.

You can view the full program and obtain registration information, as well as videos and testimonials about last year’s event on the conference website.
