Prior to the introduction of the iPad, the sales team at this major pharmaceutical company had developed their own flashcard games with pen and paper. Therefore, it seemed like a no-brainer to us to develop a new mobile app for their flashcard games. The result has seen great success because of the competitive nature of the sales reps, and because they spend up to 80 percent of their time away from their office. For example, 87 percent of reps return to the app in less than a day, and the time for a typical gameplay session is 1 minute and 30 seconds. The proprietary information is secured using a custom framework we developed to authenticate users and devices. Since 2010, 12 versions of this game have been deployed for a variety of new franchises.
